But, this week you will have to indulge me a little. You see, for the past 5 days, my husband and I have been given the wonderful opportunity for some “special” time with our 16 month old granddaughter while her parents and two brothers went on a vacation of their own.
This
little girl has been such a joy, but caring for a baby takes time and ENERGY. So, in this
week’s blog, I am allowing myself some creative time sharing some baby pics and Bible verses since I just experienced one of those busy summertime
weeks.
"I love spending time with Grandpa." |
Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.
Proverbs 22:6
"Love swimming with Grammi, Cuz, and Uncle." |
I am reminded of your sincere faith, a faith that
dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice and now, I am sure,
dwells in you as well.
2 Timothy 1:5 "Great-Grandfather, I am showing you where my ear is!" |
"When grace is joined with wrinkles, it is adorable. There is an unspeakable dawn in happy old age."
Victor Hugo
"What fun I had trying on all these different hats at Bass Pro Shop." |
. . . likewise also that women should adorn themselves in respectable apparel, with modesty and self-control, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly attire.
"Please help me. Life is tough for me." |
Be gracious to me, O Lord, for I am in distress; my eye is wasted from grief; my soul and my body also.
Psalm 31:9
"I have never had so much fun - Climbing up and down a scale is awesome." |
Unequal weights and unequal measures are both alike an abomination to the Lord.
Proverbs 20:10
With my voice I cry out to the LORD; with my voice I plead for mercy to the LORD.
Psalm 142:1
"Comforted by my milk and the pics of my mom and dad that Grammi put out." |

Peter 2:2
"It is so funny." |
Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with shouts of joy; then they said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them.”

the wise hear and increase in learning, and the one who understands obtain guidance,
"Love those bubbles!" |
Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.
Psalm 51:10
"Shopping just wore me out." |
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:28
"Or maybe I will go to my own office and be an entrepreneur when I grow up!" |
all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’
Grammi told me not to put the spaghetti on the floor, but I just can't help it. Making a mess at The Olive Garden |
So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.

Prayer:
Dear God, help me always to love your children - As babies, as children, as teenagers, as young adults, as middle age, and as seniors. Be with me as I train, teach, and console those you bring into my path. I trust your guidance and wisdom. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
